ANOTHER GLOW MISSION

Glowmusic asked me for a sticker-design and here it is! I kinda like it and there even more psyched about it so I'm looking forward to see them in my hand. There is actually nothing more about to say this only that this is gonna be in a magazine for a Hiphop-festival in my region. Like it?

AFTER EFFECTS MINI PROJECT

I've been doing other things lately. Practicing After Effects & making preparations for the Team Asura Camp 2011. So this is just a little project I've been working on the last few days. Filmed with a Canon 550D, video-editing is done by a friend of me and the outro with the text I finished off in After Effects. Enjoy

GLOW ELECTRO/TECHNO VIKING

I've been asked to make a design for Club Glow for their Electra-party. The original idea was a surreal image of the 'Techno Viking' you might have seen on YouTube. The first concept I drew was to organic for the party-concept so I drew another one. Which was more abstract and would fit more to the style of the 'Techno' I had in my mind. Everything else is done in Photoshop and the original drawing is a little different from the flyer & poster design.

I was more then just pleased when I finished my work. I actually surprised myself by pushing myself and not being a perfectionist. You'll probably see some of this back in the future cause I really like the mixed traditional art and digital art.

PORTRAIT CRISSY

Well here is a new portrait of 'Crissy'. When I was cleaning up my room I bumped up into this unfinished portrait, so I finished it because I had better material to finish it. The paper quality is so fine and smooth, but I don't know where I've got this from. To bad it had many scars of previous pencil-strokes. That's why I didn't finish the hair but it looks quite okay because the focus is more on the face now!

BACK AGAIN

Back again, I am not dead. But my laptop is now! But with a new computer, so bye bye laptop. Just a fast announcement I wasn't dead and still drawing! Back at this again this weekend.

ROXANNE IN PROGRESS

Another portrait made the last days. Roughly 5/6 hours work in 2 evenings. I notice I'm getting better at it! The result so far is good and I am even more satisfied with the hair! I will use the scanner if it's finished cause the hair looks awful on the picture. Made with my camera-phone again of course ..

SOME SCRAPS

Did some drawing yesterday, a lot more then i usually make. I wanted to sketch proportions of the human body. Study the anatomy of the human, turned out quite well but at the second picture u see the darkest shade looks kind of crappy. I think i'm going to combinate it with pastels for the shadows. Want to experiment with a lot more material!

The first draft intention was also based on the human anatomy (female anatomy actually) and i wanted to try out some cross hatching for the shading. Have to practice that!

The last one was actually an head study but i got ideas and so i made this. Think i'm going to make a whole scene with this one. Something unrealistic and abstract! Anyway, can't wait till i have my Wacom Intuos4 S! Went to the Mac store yesterday to order it, so i'm waiting for a call!

LATE NIGHT KISSING

I'm so bad at titles, it should be a mix of drawing lips in the middle of the night haha. Lil some some information; bought some new equipment to draw and I bought myself a wooden anatomy doll as u see in the picture! So i'm going to draw some anatomical sketches soon, or at least try it.

As usual I was checking on DeviantArt and I already had this in my favorites. And yeay, I love to draw lips and noses so i just tried. Which turned out really well! Drawing reflection like this was really new for me in this case. Don't know if i'm going to finish this drawing because it's kind of mysterious.

Done in 2,5 hours which is pretty fast for me

UK2010 SAMPLER / ALEXANDER PEERMAN EDIT

I so want to share this with everyone; sampler of the UK gathering we (Team Asura) went to last summer. My teammates Yannick, Elias, Erling and I were representing the dutch trickers cause were the only dutch trickers. So u might see me and the boys in this sampler; more for the people who know us/me! So here it is

MY HEAD IS ABOUT TO EXPLODE!

The title pretty much says it. But I will tell u why! In the first place, it's pretty late right now. I'm hanging at my friends place to seek for some inspiration. So i got on the computer and started surfing on the internet. Doing a daily check on DeviantArt, Blogspot and so on. This man, who I don't actually know, is amazing. He is an genius, creative, original, stylish, brilliant like what the fuck. It must've been a pencil he lay his fingers on that blessed him with this talent?! It's just that the boys are sleeping next to me or i would yell my excitement out! His way of drawing and his creative style makes him a unique artist. I shouldn't be so unpatient and do more art studies. I drive myself to much to perfection and when i'm not satisfied i stop. And i'm aware of that. Is it because i'm less social like I should be on this age for instance; going to school? Networking, viewing someone elses art, sharing ideas, gather information, share information, try new techniques and most of all; being creative. It's so hard for me to have this positive creativity. Like this dude i was talking about; i'm so yealous of him! He draws every single day some sketches with result and continue it the next day. He MUST be surrounded by loving people, live and study in a positive community.

So yeay, that is what's bugging me but i'm happy tho. I still can't believe that I started Architecture before this inspiring world of art that i've forgotten! Before that i could hold a pencil without the stress and a young fresh mind. I wasted it all on the Architecture I thought I liked. But i gotta say; it's still not to late ... I'm young, but my body doesn't feel like that. Well that's all out of me now! He is fucking worth staying late up at night and putting this on my blog so here my top 4 of him below (can't find his name tho)a

MIRANDA UPDATE

I've been working on Miranda for a little while. Trying to do some new techniques, especially for the hair. And if you look good, everything is a lil bit out of proportion. Look at the mouth/lips/chin and the eyes! But it still look good in my opinion. Going to buy new paper and other materials when i have money again.
